Embrace the Enduring Appeal of Cashmere

Cashmere, highly regarded for its luxurious feel, offers numerous practical benefits that make it a wardrobe essential. From its thermo-regulating properties, supreme comfort and superior quality, discover why cashmere is a deserving wardrobe investment.

THERMO-REGULATION
Cashmere stands out for its innate ability to adapt to varying temperatures. Its breathable nature keeps wearers comfortable year-round, offering a lightweight feel while providing exceptional insulation.

COMFORT
Cashmere's soft and fine fibres offer supreme comfort to the wearer. Moreover, cashmere is hypoallergenic and non-itchy, catering to individuals with even the most sensitive skin types.

QUALITY + LONGEVITY
Cashmere is known for its durability. This fabric offers remarkable resilience, resisting wrinkles and stretching even after repeated wear. Its enduring quality ensures that your cashmere pieces remain a timeless addition to your wardrobe for years to come.

How To Care For Cashmere

With proper care and attention, cashmere will last for many years, even decades. The following guide outlines how to wash, store and maintain your cashmere to achieve optimal longevity.

STORING
It's important to store cashmere correctly between uses to avoid unnecessary wear and warping. We recommend folding the item into a cupboard or drawer and to never store on a hanger.

MAINTAINING
Each purchase of Assembly Label cashmere comes with a complimentary cashmere comb. Pilling is a natural occurrence that affects fibres like cashmere. It is the result of friction on the soft top layers of the yarn. Whilst inevitable, pilling is easy to manage. Simply use a cashmere comb to gently brush away pilling. Over time, the top layer in the yarn will settle and pilling will decrease.

WASHING
Cashmere is naturally antibacterial and therefore doesn't require as much washing as other fibres. When it is time to wash, follow these steps:

  1. Gently hand wash in cold water with a mild detergent.
  2. Rinse out detergent by submerging in clean, cold water.
  3. Gently squeeze the garment to remove excess water, avoid twisting, stretching or wringing.
  4. Lay the item flat in the shade to air dry. Never use a machine to dry cashmere.
  5. If you wish to speed up the drying process, lay the garment on a soft towel and gently roll the towel and cashmere together, squeezing out excess water. Unroll and lay the garment out flat to air dry.
